Poster Design: The Hindenburg Disaster

Instead of having a clean vector edges, I decided to embrace the semi-sketchy mood all over the design. Also, you'll notice that there is a "3" in Hindenburg, and "36" is the number of deaths in the Hindenburg Disaster.

Vandeline Vandalize

Story:

In the late 17th century in France. Two courtiers, one of them had a son (23 years old) and the other had a daughter (18 years old). They arranged their marriage and both of daughter and son fell in love together, but before the wedding, she found out that he was cheating on her with one of the maids so she pretended that nothing happened.

After the wedding at night, she poisoned him with half a bottle of Chateau Margaux. So, he uncontrollably started to vomit everywhere and she kept moving with him, keeping her face on his without any emotions, until he dies.   Instantly, she cleans him up and put him in bed and slept beside him. She woke up in the morning screaming, and after couple of days they made his funeral. After that, she goes at night, dug his grave, open his chest, and took out his heart. She went back to her room and cut the heart open, put the wedding ring inside and then sewed it up. Then, she went back to the cemetery and returned his heart in his chest and drank the other half of the wine bottle, lay against his body and kissed him with innocent tears and closed the coffin. The end.

About:

The scene that is depicted in this drawing is sewing the heart. Also, Instead of having a flat drawing I decided to make a table and life size woman (Vandeline). I used a real needle and thread to give more credibility and I exaggerated the size for more drama. Made in a week, I have the redbull just for a size comparison and to drink it after the hard work.

Materials:
18 Canson paper
A large piece of foam board
Oil pastels
Soft pastels
Colored pencils
Acrylic paint
Needle and thread

AlQaraien Cargo

The Thumb line sketch (left) & The final logo (right)

Designed this logo to a Cargo Company obviously called "AlQaraien Cargo" which is located in the United Arab Emirates. It does shipping world wide using ships. So what I did is that I merged the "Q" with a simplified ship, I tried to keep it as simple as possible to be easily read. Also, using dark settle blue with gentle tone of red was intense, so I applied the light gray to the "Q" to hold everything together and lower that intensity and it also helps to focus the attention on the text.
